Immediately following a chemical peel, your skin will appear mildly swollen and red. There is no need to worry, this is normal and typically fades within 24 hours of treatment. Around post-procedure day 3 or 4, your skin will naturally exfoliate. This can be dramatic as the most superficial layer of your skin sheds and sloughs off. What follows, however, is beautiful, radiant skin that lasts for months.
No downtime is necessary after your procedure. Therefore you can return to school, work, and most regular activities immediately. However, we recommend you avoid strenuous activities or exercise for the first 24-48 hours as sweating can result in altering your results.
