DIOLAZE XL 

DiolazeXL is a state-of-the-art laser hair reductiondevice available at Strata Aesthetics Studio that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair. It has one of the largest treatment area sizes, making treatments convenient and fast, and targeting the root of the problem by delivering maximum power to a large treatment area without compromising efficiency. Unlike traditional methods (waxing, shaving, bleaching, or using depilatory creams) laser hair reduction with DioLazeXL achieves a 75%-85% reduction in hair growth, rather than offering a temporary solution. While results vary depending on skin type and hair texture, many patients notice a significant reduction in hair growth and texture after just a few sessions.

TREATMENT AREAS

The wide surface area within the DiolazeXL hand piece enables an easy and fast process for the removal of unwanted hair from both larger and smaller, more delicate areas like the arms, back, bikini line (or brazilian), chest, chin, stomach, legs, and underarms.

However, the best way to know if DioLaze XL is right for you is to book a consultation. Here, we can discuss your goals and help you determine how you can use laser hair reduction to look and feel your best.

  • Smaller areas such as the lip and chin take as little as 5 minutes. Underarms and bikini hair removal treatments take approximately 15 minutes. Larger treatment areas such as the back, arms or legs take longer, from 30 to 45 minutes (for both arms or both legs).

  • Other than keeping the treated area protected from sunlight for a few weeks, you can return to your full, normal routines immediately. Slight redness similar to a mild sunburn may occur; this usually disappears over a few days.

  • DioLazeXL has a proven efficacy of 75%-85% hair reduction in the treated area. After completing your designated sessions, one to two maintenance sessions may be required annually to keep minimal hair growth from returning.

  • It is normal for some hair to continue to grow after laser hair removal treatment. Some of these hairs are being released from the recently disrupted follicle, and some are from dormant follicles that were not in the active phase at the time of the hair removal treatment. This normal hair cycle is why hair reduction consists of 6-8 recommended treatment sessions per treatment area, approximately 4-6 weeks apart depending on the area that is being treated.

Through precise thermal manipulation of the epidermal and dermal tissue, it remodels collagen through the papillary dermis to promote collagen production and the production of new and beautiful skin. This technique allows your skin to heal much faster than if the entire skin surface was treated at once. The FRAXEL™ laser treats sun spots, age spots, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, and provides overall skin resurfacing.

  • The Fraxel Laser has received FDA clearances for skin resurfacing procedures; the photocoagulation of pigmented lesions, such as lentigos (age spots); solar lentigos (sun spots) and dyschromia; treatment of periorbital wrinkles; and for dermatological conditions requiring the coagulation of soft tissue. It is also approved for the treatment of scars and wrinkles.

  • Side effects are minimal and usually limited to a sunburn-like redness which disappears in about 24 hours. Within 24 hours, new epidermal skin will develop and your skin will have a bronze appearance which can last from three days up to two weeks depending on what level of treatment you have received. As the new epidermal tissue replaces the damaged tissue, your skin will flake off. Moisturizer can counteract some of the flaking effect.

LUMECCA

Lumecca is an advanced Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) device available at Strata Aesthetics Studio that treats common skin blemishes and irregularities. Unlike other IPL devices, Lumecca delivers up to 3x more energy over a wide area of skin to help reverse the signs of skin damage, aging, and sun exposure. When the light hits the skin, it’s converted into high-quality heat energy that penetrates deep into the dermis with 40% greater energy than a standard IPL, which more efficiently breaks up pigments, shrinks blood vessels, and smooths out skin tone while breathing new life into your skin’s deep structures.

  • Patients looking to address facial pigmentation, superficial vessels, skin texture and/or photo damage, Lumecca IPL is the optimal solution. However, the best way to know if Lumecca IPL is right for you is to book a consultation with a member of our team. Here, we can discuss your goals and help you determine how you can use intense pulsed light to look and feel your best.

  • An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session. However, multiple sessions provide even better results. We typically recommend a series of 3 treatments, with annual maintenance sessions as needed. Overall, your treatment regime will depend on the severity of skin damage, skin type, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.

  • During treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca device which feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours, you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of the skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissipates after a few days.

  • Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. With additional sessions, you’ll see additional improvements. For vascular treatments, results can be seen in up to 2 weeks.

  • Most patients do not experience any side effects and any skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. However, patients may find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment. This is why we highly recommend avoiding direct sunlight and any form of tanning for at least a month before and after treatment.

SmartXide DOT CO2 Laser

The latest innovation in skin rejuvenation at Strata Aesthetics Studio, SmartXide CO2, is a carbon dioxide-based ablative laser system that features a technologically advanced dermal optical thermolysis (DOT) scanner with endless delivery options. What sets the CO2 laser apart is its ability to naturally tighten the skin and increase collagen production while also treating pigmentation, textural imperfections, wrinkles, and scars. DOT Therapy also leaves the skin around each of the microscopic perforations intact, which promotes rapid healing within the epidermis and leads to very minimal downtime.

SmartXide DOT CO2 Laser Q&A

  • DOT therapy can be used to treat most skin types. It is an ideal treatment for targeting the signs of sun-damage including pigment irregularities, wrinkles, skin laxity/sagging, and rough texture.

  • If you are an ideal candidate for the CO2 laser treatment, most effects of treatment become visible right away whereas others, such as new collagen formation-build up gradually and results in continued smoothing over time. Therefore, most people continue to show improvement up to 6 months after the procedure.

  • Results of treatment are LONG TERM and with proper sun protection and skin care regimen, can last for many years.

  • There is little to no pain associated with the procedure. Most patients say they feel warmth similar to a sunburn. A topical numbing agent may be used prior to the procedure to minimize any discomfort.
