INJECTABLES

Smooth, plump, lift, repeat.

Strata Aesthetics Studio in Oklahoma City offers a variety of industry-leading injectables – neurotoxins like BOTOX®, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, and Daxxify®, along with dermal fillers like Revance RHA®, Juvéderm®, and Restylane® – to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, restore lost volume, plump lips, and keep all of these visible signs of aging at bay.

NEUROTOXINS

  • Botox® was the first neurotoxin to be FDA approved and widely used. It works to smooth out frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines.

  • Daxxify® is Botox alternative that is FDA-approved to treat and prevent wrinkles, while also treating moderate to severe glabellar lines, otherwise known as frown lines. Daxxify® uses a revolutionary peptide exchange technology which allows results to appear sooner and last longer

  • Dysport is a neurotoxin that’s approved in 69 countries. Dysport focuses on treating severe frown lines in the forehead and eyebrow area for up to 4 months.

  • Jeuveau® (Newtox) is a purified botulinum toxin type A injection. It was specifically developed for aesthetic treatments and has recently been FDA approved. Jeuveau® focuses on improving the look of glabellar lines (frown lines).

DERMAL FILLERS

  • Juvederm®, is a smooth gel hyaluronic based family of fillers that are used under your skin to smooth those deep lines and replace volume loss.

  • Restylane® dermal fillers and skin boosters can reduce wrinkles and fine lines, create fuller lips, accentuate contours and improve skin quality.

  • Th RHA® Collection of dermal fillers is made to adapt to your dynamic facial movements and closely resemble the natural hyaluronic acid (HA) in your skin.

Dynamic Wrinkles

Common dynamic wrinkles that Botox and similar products reduce are: Crow’s feet, frown lines between your eyebrows, forehead lines, lip lines, bunny lines on your nose, and marionette lines alongside your chin.

Beyond wrinkle smoothing, Botox injections can treat other conditions like: Cervical dystonia, Blepharospasm (uncontrolled blinking), crossed or misaligned eyes, severe armpit sweating, and even migraines.

NEUROTOXINS

Injectable neurotoxins like Botox, Jeuveau, Dysport, and Daxxify, are most often used for treating dynamic wrinkles and lines on the face through controlled paralysis of the muscle they are injected into. Because most wrinkles and lines are caused by the repeat contraction of muscles in the face, inhibiting those movements allows them to fade. Dynamic wrinkles aren’t your typical creases that appear from skin laxity: rather, they appear when your skin folds as you make facial expressions. Over time and after countless facial expressions, they stay in place permanently.

TREATMENT AREAS

Injectable neurotoxins are a safe and effective way to diminish unwanted facial wrinkles in many areas of the face and neck, including:

  • Glabellar Frown Lines

  • Bunny Lines

  • Gummy Smile

  • Lip Augmentation

  • Dimpling on the Chin

  • Horizontal Neck & Forehead Lines

  • Smoker’s Lines (around the mouth)

  • Downturned Nasal Tip

  • Sagging Brow

  • Crow’s Feet

  • Lower Eyelids

  • Platysmal Neck Bands

NEUROTOXINS Q&A

  • We utilize Dysport, Jeuveau, Daxxify, and Botox.

  • The number of units required for your treatment will depend on the areas that are being treated.

For wrinkles around the eyes, most patients will require 6 to 12 units per eye; wrinkles on the forehead will need approximately 20 to 40 units. The exact number of units needed for your treatment will also depend on the severity of your skin condition.

  • Before your procedure, we will gently cleanse and prep the area to be treated. Because the injectable neurotoxin procedure is only mildly uncomfortable, topical numbing is not typically required.

  • Depending on the neurotoxin, results can appear in as little as 2 days, but up to 14 days.

  • After your procedure, you will have small bumps that can resemble mosquito bites in the areas of injection. These typically fades within a few minutes to a few hours. We also ask that you do not lie down or take a nap for at least 4 hours after the procedure, as it is important that the neurotoxins settle into the correct place and do not migrate. You’ll receive in-depth aftercare instructions at your appointment and are always available to answer any questions as needed.

THE LIP FLIP

This popular procedure helps achieve a fuller upper lip without dermal fillers. The procedure involves a few quick neurotoxin injections in your upper lip to relax the muscles and “flip” your lip upward.

DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers plump and lift the skin gently to treat volume loss caused by your body’s natural aging process or to plump wrinkles, lines, and scars. They use a pure natural substance called hyaluronic acid, a chemical found in every cell in your body. Since dermal fillers are injected into the deep layers of your facial tissue, they can smooth the appearance of moderate wrinkles and stimulate your body’s natural collagen production in the areas they are injected to replace lost collagen and tissue volume over time for longer-lasting results.

TREATMENT AREAS

Dermal fillers can be used to treat a variety of concerns, including:

  • Lips

  • Chin augmentation

  • Profile balancing

  • Contouring of jawline and cheeks

  • Lines around the mouth and across the chin

  • Nasolabial folds

  • Marionette lines

  • Temples

DERMAL FILLERS Q&A

  • Results are immediate and will typically last 12 months on average. Once the filler starts to dissipate, you will need to book an appointment. Most people who get fillers will need at least one follow-up injection within a year.

  • Dermal fillers require very minimal downtime, but there is always a risk of bruising and swelling. Most patients can resume normal activities directly following treatment. For the first 24 hours, it’s a good idea to refrain from strenuous activities and excessive sun or heat exposure. Staying hydrated is also essential.

  • Discomfort during your injection is minimal. The area can also be numbed with a topical anesthetic cream or cold pack before injection, so you may not feel much pain, if any. You will experience a slight sting as the needle enters the injection site. Most patients tolerate the treatment with no pain medication. However, additional pain management options are available.

ENHANCEMENTS WITH DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers offer many possibilities for appearance enhancements and are becoming increasingly competitive with cosmetic surgery. Though the changes aren’t permanent with a one-time injection, you can make these and other changes with dermal fillers alone:

  • Soften nose and mouth creases

  • Add volume to cheeks

  • Smooth chin creases or dimples

  • Encourage face symmetry

  • Plump thin lips

  • Remove under eye shadows, bags
